Repository Help

Data may be entered into the repository by registered users who have logged into the system. Tool Tips have been provided for each question on the Centralized Electronics Recycling Data Repository forms. To view these tips place your cursor over the question and the definition will be displayed. Data may only be edited by the person who originally entered the information.

1: Search Link

The Search Link opens a search page which will allow you to find program data based on various criteria. You will have the opportunity to search for a keyword and also filter the search results by state, jurisdiction, collection frequency, etc. A company search and a contact search are provided as well.

2: Menu Order

Reorders program names in the navigation menu based on program name or pounds collected for that program (in descending order).

3: Program Summary

The Program Summary contains basic information about the program and corresponding data for that program. On the left navigation menu, the program is displayed as Program Name (Total Pounds Collected by the Program). The program summary may be viewed by clicking this link.
All forms pertaining to the program may be accessed via the program summary page. The navigational menu at the bottom of these forms also provides access previously entered data.

3: Program (Program Sponsor Form)

The Program Sponsor form contains basic information about the program and the sponsor organization. Data for the program and sponsor may be viewed by clicking the Program Link on the Program Summary page. This data may also be accessed by clicking the Sponsor Link on the bottom navigational menu on the cooresponding Partner, Program Data, Collection Location, Collection Activity, Recycler and Transporter forms.
The navigational menu at the bottom of the Program Sponsor form displays previously entered Partner, Program Data and Collection Location information. The corresponding forms may be viewed by clicking these links.
Programs may be entered by selecting the Add a Program / Pilot link from the Home page. Fill out one Program Sponsor Information form for each Program. Indicate the start and end date for the program. If you do not know when the program will end, enter an end date that you think is reasonable for your program.

4: Partner

The Partner Data form contains information about a company who has partnered with the Program Sponsor. The form contains contact information for the partner and details about the partner's contribution toward the program. All partners entered will be listed by Partner Name. Information for a partner may be viewed by clicking the Partner Link on the Program Summary Page. This data may also be accessed by clicking the Partner Link on the bottom navigation menu of the corresponding Sponsor, Program Data, and Partner forms.
The navigational menu at the bottom of the Partner form displays the Sponsor information and previously entered Program Data, Partner, and Collection Location information. The corresponding forms may be viewed by clicking these links.
Partner information may be entered only after the Program Sponsor data has been entered.  Partner Data is entered by selecting the Add partner information link at the bottom of the forms. Fill out one Partner Information form for each Partner. Indicate the role the partner is serving for this program.

5: Program Data

The Program Data form contains details about the program such as program setup cost, financing, promotional costs etc. which are typically reported on a yearly basis. If no program data has been entered for a program, you will not see any program data link on the the navigational menu. All program data entered will be listed by Reporting Period(Reporting Period Start Date-Reporting Period End Date). Program Data may be viewed by clicking the Program Data Link on the Program Summary Page. This data may also be accessed by clicking the Program Data Link on the bottom navigation menu of the corresponding Sponsor, Program Data, and Partner forms.
The navigational menu at the bottom of the Program Data form displays the Sponsor information and previously entered Program Data, Partner, and Collection Location information. The corresponding forms may be viewed by clicking these links.
Program Data may be entered only after the Program Sponsor data has been entered.  Program Data may be entered by selecting the Add program data link at the bottom of the forms. The Program Data form is used to report data about the program on a periodic basis. For example, the program may be a three-year effort but you may want to report program costs, etc. on a yearly basis. If you choose to report data only one time – at the end of the program – the Reporting Period Start Date and Reporting Period End Date will be the same as the Program Start and End Date.

6: Collection Location

The Collection Location form contains information about the location(s) where waste electronics are being collected for this program. All Collection Locations entered will be listed by Collection Location Name. Collection Location information may be viewed by clicking the Collection Location Link on the Program Summary Page. This data may also be accessed by clicking the Collection Location Link on the bottom navigation menu of the corresponding Sponsor, Program Data, Partner, and Collection Location forms. The Collection Location link will appear in the bottom navigational menu only when Collection Location information has been entered into the repository for the selected Program.

Collection Location information may be entered only after the Program Sponsor data has been entered.  Collection Location data may be entered by selecting the Add a collection location link at the bottom of the Program Sponsor, Program Data, Partner and Collection Location forms. Fill out one Collection Location Information form for each Collection Location.

7: Collection Activity

The Collection Activity data form contains the actual units/pounds of waste electronics collected for a specific program at a specific location for a specific reporting period. All Collection Activity data entered will be listed by Reporting Period(Reporting Period Start Date-Reporting Period End Date). Collection Activity data may be viewed by clicking the Collection Activity Link on the Program Summary Page. This data may also be accessed by clicking the Collection Activity Link on the bottom navigation menu of the corresponding Sponsor, Collection Location, Recycler, and Transporter forms. The Collection Activity link will appear in the bottom navigational menu only when Collection Activity information has been entered into the repository for the selected Collection Location.
The navigational menu at the bottom of the Collection Activity form displays the corresponding Sponsor and Collection Location information as well as previously entered Recycling and Transport Data for the Collection Activity. The corresponding forms may be viewed by clicking these links.
Collection Activity data may be entered only after the Collection Location data has been entered.  Collection Activity data may be entered by selecting the Add collection data at the bottom of the Collection Location and Collection Activity forms. Fill out the Collection Activity form each time you report data. For example, if you have a one-year program and you report data quarterly, you will have 4 sets of Collection Activity forms by the end of the program. On each Collection Activity form, make sure you include the Reporting Period Start and End Date. If you choose to report data only one time – at the end of the program – the Reporting Period Start Date and Reporting Period End Date will be the same as the Program Start and End Date.

8: Recycling Data

The Recycling Data form contains contact information about the recyling company as well as recycler fees and pounds collected (that were sent to this recycler). All Recycling Data entered will be listed by Recycler Name. Recycling Data may be viewed by clicking the Recycler Link on the Program Summary Page. This data may also be accessed by clicking the Recyclers Link on the bottom navigation menu of the corresponding Collection Activity, Recycler, and Transporter forms. The Recycler link will appear in the bottom navigational menu only when Recycling Data has been entered into the repository for the selected Collection Activity.
The navigational menu at the bottom of the Recycling Data form displays the corresponding Sponsor, Collection Location, and Collection Activity information as well as previously entered Recycling and Transport Data for the Collection Activity. The corresponding forms may be viewed by clicking these links.
Recycling data may be entered only after the Collection Activity data has been entered. Recycling data may be entered by selecting the Add recycling data link at the bottom of the Collection Activity, Recycling Data, and Transport Data forms. Fill out one Recycling Data form for each recycler. The Products Collected section of the Recycling Data form refers to the products collected and sent to this recycler during the reporting period.

9: Transport Data

The Transport Data form contains information about the transportation company for the Program/Collection Location. All Transport Data entered will be listed by Transporter Name. Transport data may be viewed by clicking the Transporters on the Program Summary Page. This data may also be accessed by clicking the Transporter Link on the bottom navigation menu of the corresponding Collection Activity, Recycler, and Transporter forms. The Transporter link will appear in the bottom navigational menu only when Transport Data has been entered into the repository for the selected Collection Activity.
The navigational menu at the bottom of the Transport Data form displays the corresponding Sponsor, Collection Location, and Collection Activity information as well as previously entered Recycling and Transport Data for the Collection Activity. The corresponding forms may be viewed by clicking these links.
Transport data may be entered only after the Collection Activity data has been entered. Transport data may be entered by selecting the Add transport data link at the bottom of the Collection Activity, Recycling Data, and Transport Data forms. Fill out Transport Data form for each transporter who participated during the Reporting Period. If transporter costs are included in the recycler fee, do not report any Total Shipping Costs on the Transport Data form.

10: Help Link

The Help Link at the top of the left menu opens this Repository Help window. A Help Link is also provided at the top of each data form. The data form Help Link, when clicked, will take you directly to the section of the help document which is appropriate for that data form.

11: Selected Program

When an program is selected it will appear with red text on the left navigational menu.
